Occasionally my senior clients introduce me to new venues for Virginia senior portraits, like Airlie House and Farm in Warrenton. It is truly an exquisite location for senior pictures.
Airlie is a lovely jewel set into Virginia’s rolling countryside just outside of Warrenton, Virginia. It’s made up of seven different buildings scattered around the grounds, but we stayed near the main house for our senior photoshoot. With its stone walls, gardens, gorgeous grounds, and fairy tale stairs we had plenty of options for senior portraits.
Sophia was a special senior as I photographed her older sister a few years previously. I love to see the similarities and differences between siblings! Having three children of my own, I know every child is completely unique and yet there are always threads that connect them — something about the eyes, or perhaps the way they laugh, or something about their jawline.
Beautiful and elegant Sophia brought gorgeous clothes. Her first outfit was an elegant black pantsuit, which really accentuated her blonde hair and blue eyes. Her second outfit was another pantsuit with fun, vibrant summer print that gave off a California vibe. Her third outfit was a beautiful blue chambray dress — I loved the sleeves!
Her fourth outfit was a black shirt with gold velvet pants — this looked amazing with the reflection of the red umbrella and sunlit trees reflected in the windows behind her. She also donned camoflage pants with a black top for a casual look, and she wrapped it up with a blue velvet top and white pants.

If you are looking for a stunning location for Virginia senior portraits, Airlie should be on your short list! As of this writing Airlie has a rather hefty $150 professional photographers fee, but for once in a lifetime senior portraits it’s worth considering.
