Taking senior pictures in Leesburg is a great idea for seniors who want some interesting architectural features but who don’t want to drive down to old town Alexandria or Georgetown!
Leesburg has a number of historic buildings in the downtown area, with colorful doors and interesting walls. One of my favorite doors is the red door of St. James Episcopal Church. There’s an abundance of brick walls in every hue. And there is the courthouse with its wrought iron gates and white pillars.
If you like a little bit of nature we can find that too! If we walk around a little bit, we’re certain to find greenery or flowers or fall color to include in your senior pictures. Even though I have a few favorite spots, I love walking around and finding a different place to take photographs.
One of my favorite things to do at the end of the session is grab a cup of coffee at Shoes Cup & Cork! Sometimes we get permission to grab a few final images too!
A shoot in Leesburg takes a little more time than a shoot at my most popular location, Claude Moore Park, because there is more ground to cover to take advantage of the different scenic spots in Leesburg. If you are thinking of doing your senior pictures in Leesburg, you’ll want to block off at least 90 minutes for three outfits. And if we are doing the shoot in the afternoon rather than early in the morning on a weekend, you’ll want to allow extra time for traffic.
